To get to the lake in Kanchanaburi, they quoted approximately 2.5 hours and 3000 baths. We decided to try taking a taxi from Kanchanaburi. Of course, things get a bit more difficult once you leave the tourist areas. Demand on mobile apps like Grab decreases. A taxi from Grab came up for 750 baths, but the driver said he would only take us for 1000 baths for the 1.5-hour journey. We accepted.
Kanchanaburi Bus Terminal is a bustling transport hub located at U-Thong Soi 6 Rd, Kanchanaburi, Thailand. Surrounded by markets and shopping centers, it serves as a central point for travelers exploring the region. While in Kanchanaburi, don't miss the opportunity to visit the historical sites like the Bridge over the River Kwai and the Erawan National Park with its stunning waterfalls. A practical tip: when hailing taxis, be prepared to negotiate prices, especially for longer journeys outside the main tourist areas.
